Neale Pitches | Executive Chair

Neale Pitches is lead author of CSI Literacy. As a former teacher, principal and CEO of Learning Media, he was honored by the Queen in 2003 for his contributions to New Zealand education. He presents internationally on literacy and school leadership, focusing on how to teach literacy across the curriculum, especially in years 4–8, and on the alignment of school leadership with effective practice.

Meryl-Lynn Pluck

Meryl-Lynn has been a teacher and a Resource Teacher of Reading, having trained academically under the world-renowned Dame Marie Clay. She began publishing in New Zealand in the 1990s as a response to the needs she saw as a specialist teacher of struggling readers. Her audio-assisted resources now sell around the world and her research into effective literacy practices with struggling readers has been published internationally.

Matt Comeskey

Matt oversees the publication of all CSI Literacy resources. He is passionate about helping young readers become strategic, confident and inspired readers. He knows how to create and source engaging content that young people love to read. What motivates him the most is hearing from teachers about how CSI Literacy has improved their students' reading skills and self-confidence.

Saj Sivers

Saj Sivers | CSI Literacy Product Developer
BA, MA

Saj develops and grows the CSI Literacy brand and product line with specialized focus on the US and other international markets. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching, training teachers, and presenting, as well as writing, editing, and educational publishing. She began her career in New York as an English teacher in middle and high schools. She then moved into educational publishing, leading the English Language Arts department at Kaplan K12 Learning Services. In 2010, she started Lucid Learning LLC, an educational writing company.

Simon Waterfield

Stephen Minchin | Publisher

Stephen creates content and manages the development of various CSI Literacy resources. Before joining CSI, Stephen ran his own publishing company specializing in science fiction and fantasy, while also working for a wide range of public- and private-sector organisations. His current record is working for six companies at once.

Esther Chua

BDes Visual Communication Design

As well as being the founding designer of CSI Literacy, Esther has also run her own award-winning graphic design company for over 10 years, working with publishing clients in NZ and offshore.

Simon Waterfield

Simon Waterfield | Designer
BDes Visual Communication Design

Simon has over 10 years’ experience creating beautiful and engaging solutions for students and educators. Illustration, typography, and visual literacy are his passions, and he has collaborated with a wide range of clients and contributors in New Zealand and overseas.

Keri is a teacher, publisher, and digital marketer. If the Internet were an actual place, she’d live there.
